ISADORE

A film by Robert Labatto

'Isadore' invites the audience into the intimate world of an elderly woman, and her son as she starts to experience the early symptoms of dementia. The film employs a raw, observational style, akin to being a fly on the wall, allowing viewers to witness the profoundly personal yet fragile bond between this mother and son. Through out, it juxtaposes moments of clarity, confusion, and heartbreak, ultimately painting a brutally somber yet honest portrait of their shared reality.
